About me
Rebeca Serrano Rodríguez is an independent researcher, artist and founder of the cultural project NeferKaba.
She holds a BA in Art History from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and pursued doctoral studies in Ancient History, with a focus on symbolic traditions. She later collaborated with the National Archaeological Museum of Madrid, working in the department dedicated to Egypt and the Ancient Near East. Her work has since developed into an independent line of research exploring symbolic systems, mythology and cultural landscapes.
Her work explores the intersections between Egyptian mythology, Mediterranean cultural traditions and contemporary forms of artistic expression.
Through NeferKaba, she develops projects that connect symbolic research, artistic practice and direct experience of historical landscapes. Within this framework, she has created initiatives that integrate cultural research, movement and symbolic journeys in historical sites.
Her approach combines historical research with an experiential dimension, proposing ways of engaging with cultural heritage that unite knowledge, perception and artistic practice. This perspective also extends into her work as a certified Argentine Tango instructor (CONI, Italian National Olympic Committee), where dance becomes a field of perception, transmission and symbolic exploration.
